Join us for the trip to historic Trinidad Colorado on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 5-6 .
This is your chance to learn more about the history of the area which is so intertwined with New Mexico’s history. Learn about the battle over Raton Pass, see Mansions built with coal mining money at the turn of the century, some with swimming pools in the basement. Discover famous western lawmen and outlaws who lived and worked in Trinidad.
If you would like to sign up, send your money to Mary Miller, 7408 Boxwood Avenue NE, ABQ 87113. Make your check payable to Corrales Historical Society Docents. The cost is $195 for a double and $255 for a single. The hotel has given us until August 1st to cancel our reservations without a penalty. Mary must receive your check for the total amount by then. If there aren’t enough people signed up, checks will be returned uncashed.
The cost covers the bus, the bus driver’s tip and room, hotel stay in Trinidad, lunch on Tuesday, breakfast on Wednesday, all museum admissions, cost of Historic Ghost tour, snacks and beverages. You will be responsible for dinner on Tuesday night and lunch on Wednesday.
For those of you that have sent in a $50 deposit, now is the time to send in the amount still owed. For a single please send in a check for $205. That is the $255 minus the $50 already received from you. For a double please send in an additional check for $145. That is $195 minus the $50 already received from you.
