About Old Church Workshops
Corrales Historical Society initiated a workshop program in 2014 in order to provide CHS members and the general public with hands-on learning experiences on a variety of topics. We have had several well-attended and popular workshops covering Colcha Embroidery, Tinwork, Vegetable Gardening and Tamale Making. Workshops are usually offered twice a year and are open to the public. The cost is generally from $25 to $75 which includes any materials needed by the participants. Join us for one of our upcoming workshops-we would love to see you there!
CHS Workshops has featured artists and professionals as presenters to teach fun, creative, and inspiring workshops. We have learned best practices of Gardening in Corrales with Sandoval County Master Gardeners, the skill of tin punching with Jason Younis-Delgado, how to make delicious tamales from old family recipes with John Perea, and retablo painting with Sean Wells. We thank all of our wonderful students who have participated in these great learning opportunities. Look for upcoming workshops in 2017 and make sure to join our workshops mailing list below for future announcements!
